This from a “countdown to convention” email I just received.
One of the unique and central features of convention worship will be the altar. David Kenyon Fast is a local Saskatchewan artist, and he has built the altar by hand using wood from an old Saskatchewan grain elevator, wood that has been shaped, marked and sculpted over decades by countless grains of wheat, barley and canola.
Visit David’s blog (grainelevatoraltar.blogspot.com/) to view highlights from each step of the project.
This sounds like it will be absolutely amazing. I can’t wait to see the finished product. If at all possible I will post a picture of it.
