Book Review

You may have seen the video by Matthew Vines “The Gay Debate: The Bible and Homosexuality”  I posted it on this blog in March 2012. The Gay Debate

If you were intrigued, not convinced, or new to the topic and want to learn more, at the end of this month Vines’ book “God and the Gay Christian” will be released.

The book goes over his in depth research on the topic, and he provides his sources for anyone wishing to dig even deeper.  More than just an academic treatise it follows Vine’s and his father as they decide to take a serious look at what the bible says, or in some cases doesn’t say on the issues of orientation, celibacy, relationship, and marriage for same-sex attracted people.

It is an invaluable resource for anyone wanting to take a serious look at homosexuality and scripture.  It is so well written that I anticipate those most set against his well thought out and researched argument will be those who will refuse to read it.

The book will be released in Canada on April 22, 2014.
