    Thank you for this sermon, Pastor Hoffard. This can be such a difficult passage and so counter to our modern sensibilities. As a crusty old socialist from the West Coast … wooly socks and Birkenstocks and all …. I appreciate your honest unpacking of this message. Compassionate generosity and justice. I will think about it this week.
