Steve Hoffard is the pastor at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Toronto, Ontario. Redeemer is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC).
In addition to serving the diverse congregation at Redeemer, Pastor Steve continues to serve as the ELCIC representative and the treasurer for The Church Council on Justice and Corrections, he is the Vice-Chair Person of the Board of Governor’s for Martin Luther University College, and he is a proud member of Proclaim, a growing professional community for LGBTQ+ Lutheran rostered ministers and seminarians.
This blog began when Steve was chosen as a lay delegate to the ELCIC 2011 National Convention by his home congregation, Zion Lutheran Church in Stratford, Ontario. He created this blog primarily to keep those interested up-to-date on the convention and related issues. Since then the blog has evolved as a place to post sermons and other theological fodder.

Hi Steve,
Since I am not able to go to the convention, I will appreciate being kept up-to-date on the issues. Thank you for your efforts.
Peace,
Glenda
Steve, great post. But when’s the convention? (Seriously, the press release doesn’t say!)
July 14-17th
